June 17 update from New York State Department of Labor @ui.labor.state.ny.us: “Legislation is still pending to extend eligibility dates for benefit extensions beyond the May 30, 2010 deadline. Unless you have claimed the maximum 99 total weeks of unemployment benefits or have received instructions to file a fresh claim, you should proceed to claim weekly benefits in the usual manner. Claimants will not be able to stir into a fresh Tier under EUC or receive Extended Benefits (EB). Please note that once the legislation is approved, you will receive payment for weeks claimed that are due to you. How to Apply for Unemployment Extension in New York State?
You may file a claim inbetween the hours of 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday thru Thursday (Eastern Time), Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, all day Saturday, and Sunday until 7:00 pm.
You may claim benefits for last week inbetween the hours of 7:30 am to midnight Sunday thru Saturday.
