On this site, you can log in with your User name and Password to apply for unemployment insurance. It also provides you some significant and updated information on Indiana employment.

Indiana no longer qualifies for the fourth tier of the federal extended benefits program due to the state’s lower unemployment rate. Tier 4 is the last six weeks of the possible 79 weeks of benefits. Hoosiers will be incapable to file a fresh claim for tier four beginning Sunday, May 13, 2012. Individuals presently receiving tier 4 benefits will be able to finish any remaining weeks on their claim. Please see DWD’s website,  for more information.

The latest update is that unemployed Hoosiers who are concluding their first-ever 26 weeks of regular state unemployment insurance and moving to federally funded extended benefits are now required to go to WorkOne for an in-person review of their work search records. The fresh in-person review is part of the federal law Congress passed in February reauthorizing the federally funded extended benefits thru the end of the year. Reviews will also be required for those transitioning from the first-ever round of federal benefits to the 2nd if they have not precedingly participated. Hoosiers who are required to visit a WorkOne will begin receiving notices in April. Anyone who fails to conform risks losing their unemployment insurance benefits. Please see DWD’s site for more information.
