Rapid Rewards Shopping is a program intended to prize Southwest Airlines customers for shopping in Southwest Airlines or other collaborative stores with bonus points for flights and other redemption as of July 1st, 2013. The prize has no expiration date.
Enter Rapid Rewards Shopping online and register to be a Rapid Rewards member or directly log in. During sign-in, you can choose to receive Southwest weekly emails on latest flight deals or monthly ones with promotions and news. Meanwhile, 500 points can be earned by subscribing the Rapid Rewards Report and the Rapid Rewards Emails Update concerning travel services.
After the enrollment, you will get a valid account number for shopping online. Go back to the homepage and pick up a store to make a purchase. You can sort by category or refer to the recommended stores as well as featured stores. Remember to compare offers and prices to maximize your points when you shop around.
If you want to redeem the points for flights, the Rapid Reward membership card, Rapid Reward Premier Business Card or Plus Card, is also a necessity. You may apply for them by spending $1,000 in the first-ever 3 months which offers you 25,000 bonus points. Government fees as low as $5 are not included. The points will be posted to your account after six to eight weeks. - You may earn 2 points for each $1 in purchase of products and services concerning the Southwest Airlines and 1 point for $1 in purchase of other retailers.
- You will earn 1,500 Tier Qualifying Points (TQPs) for each $10,000 in eligible purchases. TQPs are used solely toward elite status qualification. Maximum TQP accumulation is 15,000 points per year, which equates to $100,000 in purchases.
- You may also earn 1 point for each $1 of balance transfers for the very first 90 days from your enrollment date in the program. Maximum point accumulation on balance transfers is 15,000 points during the first-ever 90 days, which equates to $15,000 in balance transfers.
