About Citibank Student Loans
For CitiAssist Loans, the interest rate charged is based on the applicants’ credit scores and other factors. You may apply for a loan on your own. However, if you do not have an established credit history you may apply with a qualified co-signer to increase your chances for approval and potentially receive a lower interest rate. International borrowers must always apply with a U.S. citizen or permanent resident co-signer. The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is variable and may increase during the life of the loan if the 3-month LIBOR Index increases, which would result in higher monthly payments, an increase in the number of scheduled payments, or both.
